How to measure a lock?

First of all you have to choose what kind of lock you need : a short lock or a multipointlock. After this you have to sort out on base of your meassures.

How to take the measures of a lock?

1) Center distance : the distance between the middle of the stoolhole and the middle of the middle of the circel cylinderhead.

2) Backset : the distance between the edge frontplate and the middle of the stoolhole.

3) Frontplate : the width (from 16 mm until 25mm) and the form (Straight , U-form , and on top = round of straight)

! Attention : with non-reversible locks is the direction of rotation important !

Beside this you can sort out on the kind of lock (cylinder , bit key , wc,...) or on the kind of frontplate ( galvanised, stainless steel , lacquered , brass,...)

Wenn you have all sizes meassured , you can check these on our E-shop with our filters and so you come to the right lock.
